This was our very first camping trip as a family and well let's just say a lot was learned on this trip.  There are 46 camp sites that have minimal tree cover.  The pads are sandy, the sites are sandy, the CG is sandy...did I mention that everything was sandy?  Gopher turtle holes are all over the place...though we did not see one.  Besides sandy, it was HOT!!!!  So hot in fact that my son tried to sleep in a hammock because you couldn't breath in the tent at night, but the mosquitoes (the size of C-130s) tried to carry him off.  There is a large lake that you can do some good fishing in.  They were running a summer program for the kids while we were there.  The comfort station was not much to write home to mom about.  I do remember the granddaddy long-legs were HUGE!  We did have some friends that stayed there this fall (2007) and they were okay with the stay.  Like I said earlier, it was our first camping trip and I know this CG would be better now that we have a TT.
