Smokey is our 2006 Nissan Titan SE w/ Factory Big Tow package.  It is truly a beast and can handle anything that we need it to.  We use the Husky Brake Controller and Weight Distribution Bars.  We also have a backup camera system installed.

We originally pulled with a 1998 Ford Ranger Ext Cab (V6) and then the wife's 2001 Ford Explorer Sport Trac (V6).  We knew that we wanted to move up to a bigger camper but first we needed to ensure we had a better tow vehicle to handle our needs.  Sure we could have had the big dually trucks from Ford or Chevy but we didn't see ourselves in a 5th Wheel anytime soon.  Besides, Nissan did it right with the tow capacity for the money and I loved them from the time they were introduced in 2004!  The PU was not a problem at all and handles our new TT w/ no problem though we know it's back there now.
